India’s Only Night Tournament
Organized by the Gujarat State Roller Skating Association(GSRSA). GSRSA extends invitation to all affiliated State/U.T units of RSFI to participate in the 2nd WARRIOR All India Invitational Quad & Inline Speed Skating tournament to be held at the Triumph Velodrome, DPS School Bopal, Ahmedabad from May 11 to 15, 2011.

Teams to Report: On 10th May 2011 at the Triumph Velodrome, DPS School Bopal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Venue: Triumph Velodrome, DPS School Bopal, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Floor: The Triumph 200M Banked Track is cement concrete, most skaters may find it very fast and non slippery to mildly slippery.
Road venue will be informed at the Manager’s meeting on 10th May 2011.
AGE GROUPS, ENTRIES, EVENTS, GENERAL RULES and GUIDELINES etc:
a).Rules and Regulations(RR): as per practice Federation RR Dt.30th Oct.2000 & amendments
subsequently made will be followed, however the following guidelines are to be adhere to:-
b) Participation in the said Warrior Tournament entries are restricted to invited RSFI State/U.T Teams and players.
c) Age Eligibility: A Skater should be 8 Years of age on 1/1/2011 to be allowed participation in the championships.
NOTE: SKATERS HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR OWN AGE GROUP, UPPER AGE GROUP JUMPING IS NOT PERMITTED AT ALL.
d) Birth Certificate: Photo copy of Date of Birth Certificates of all skaters (including above 16
years) given by their School/College where they are presently studying must be submitted to the Warrior Tournament Committee along with Entry Form, while original certificate should be produced immediately for verification as and when required. In case of players who have completed their studies, they have to submit valid age proof by way of photocopy of their Passport/Pan Card/Election Commission Card/DOB certificate issued by the Institution last studied.
e) Photos: Skaters have to submit 2 passport size current photos.
f) Fees: Entry Fees:250 Rs/ Skater for speed events. Relay Race & Marathon Rs.250 per event per skater. RSFI 2011-12 Skaters’ Annual Registration Fee Rs.25/ skater.
g) Entries: Entries are to be filled by participating teams as per excel format enclosed and the same must be sent by e_mail within 25th April 2011 to: championships@triumphskates.com and copy to (Organising Secretary) sanjayrana@triumphskates.com, triumphworld@hotmail.com. & rsfi@hotmail.com. Photo copies of the Master Entry form, Photo copies of Date of Birth Certificates and one stamp size photo(Stapled to DOB Certificate) shall be sent by Courier/Speed Post to: The Organising Secretray, 2nd WARRIOR All India Invitational Quad & Inline Speed Skating tournament, C/o.Triumph Corporation, 22A Circle B, S G Highway, Bodakdev, Ahmedabad 380015 to reach on or before 25th April 2010. (h) Payments: Entry Fee: Please make Pay order or Demand Draft in favor of “Warrior Tournaments” payable at Ahmedabad. Skaters’ RSFI 2011-12 Annual Registration Fee: should be made by Demand Drafts, drawn favoring “Roller Skating Federation of India” payable at “Visakhapatnam”.
Note: At the back of the said demand draft/Pay order name of the State/UT and purpose should be clearly mentioned. Payment by cheque/cash will not be accepted.
(i) Skater/s under suspension/pending disciplinary action is/are not eligible to participate.
(j).EVENTS:
Speed Skating: Inline and Quad Speed Skating Track and Road Races. For Distances & Type of Races pleases follow the latest distances and rules, RSFI Format effective from 1st May 2010, Please note the following:
For the 2nd Warrior All India Invitational Speed Skating Tournament, Annexure III(A) Note I(A),(B) & (C) to be deleted and read as "Entries per unit for Boys & Girls categories is not restricted as the host is inviting more number of participants for this invitational Tournament".
(a). Age Groups:8-10, 10-12, 12-14, 14-16, and above 16 Yrs boys and girls for Inline as well as Quads.
(b).Races:
Quad:Rink-I, Rink-II, Rink-II(A),Road-I.
Inline:Rink-III, Rink-IV, Rink-V,Road Race-II,Point to Point, Elimination, Half Marathon & Relay Race.
Note:(i).Inline Half Marathon(21 Km) Race will be conducted on the Road for Juniors & Seniors. The circuit and start time will be declared once due police permissions are procured.
Junior(12 to 16 Years) Inline Relay team shall consist of all the 12 to 14 & 14 to 16 Years age group skaters only and Senior(Above 16 Years) Inline Relay team shall consist of all the Above 16 years age group skaters only. Half Marathon team to be selected from those who participated in the tournament in the Inline speed events only.
(ii).Inline Relay Race(3000M) will be conducted in track for Juniors(12 to 16 Year) & Seniors(Above 16 Years).
Inline Relay race team consist of 3 skaters only. Juniors (12 to 16 Years) Inline Relay Race team to be selected from 12 to 14 & 14 to 16 Years age group only and Senior(Above 16 Years) Inline Relay Race team to be selected from Above 16 years age group only. Each Inline Relay team must consist of skaters from the same State, multiple relay teams from each States are allowed to participate in this open tournament.(In case of multiple relay teams the teams may be named as …………State “A” team, ………….State “B” Team so on). Inline Relay team to be selected from those who participated in the tournament in the Inline speed events only.
Please note the following:(a).All participants have to complete the RSFI Annual Skaters Registration for 2011-12, (b). For the 2nd Warrior All India Invitational Speed Skating Tournament, Annexure III(A) Note I(A),(B) & (C) to be deleted and to be read as "Entries per unit for Boys & Girls categories is not restricted as the host is inviting more number of participants for this invitational Tournament".
(c).Team manager’s authorization and mobile nos.: is to be given by Teams/Units so that Organizing Committee can contact the manager as and when required.
(d).Skates permitted for Speed Skating: Quads skates with 2 pairs of wheels fastened parallel to each other and Inline skates having 4 to 5 wheels fastened in a line are permitted. The maximum diameter of inline skate wheel must not exceed 110mm.The inline skate must not exceed 50cm in length. Inline skates having 3 wheels are not permitted for above 12 years age group.
GENERAL RULES/GUIDELINES:
(a).Boarding: Subsidized Vegetarian meal i.e. Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner is being arranged by the organisor/host on payment basis subject to minimum advance payment to reach them 1 week prior to the reporting date. For details contact the organisor/host of the tournament.
(b).Transport: Transport will be arranged for receiving the teams at the railway station provided that the teams will inform the organisor/host 1 week prior to the date of reporting their arrival and departure details i.e. Train Name and No., Date and time of Arrival/departure, No. of persons etc. so that a special tournament pricing can be negotiated with the transport companies.
(c).Accommodation: The organizers have negotiated special tournament pricing with various hotels a list of which will be provided 30 days prior to the tournament. Rooms can be booked directly with the hotels.
Note: It is suggested that teams book their return journey ticket in the late afternoon of the next day of the tournament getting over; keeping in view that if any event is not complete on last day of the tournament due to any unforeseen reasons then the same may have to be rescheduled and held late at the night of last day of the tournament or the next day morning.
(d).Accident/Medical/Life/Insurance Policies: Please note that for any injury/losses caused to the participants/officials/accompanying members during the tournament, on or off the playing area, Organisor/Host Association and or RSFI shall not be responsible and or liable to meet any expenses/damages whatsoever. Therefore please ensure that all the participating skaters, officials and accompanying members must take adequate accidental, medical and life insurance policies. They are to carry the necessary policies with themselves/team manager. Every team must carry a First Aid Kit.
(e). Dope/Drug Tests: as per the government policy the Organizers may carry out random tests on players to ensure drug and dope are not being used by them to enhance their performance.
(f).Practice: will be allowed on the reporting date of the tournament to the Teams. For the practice schedule, the team managers are to contact the tournament committee immediately on arrival.
(g).Managers/Coaches Meeting: will be held between 5-7 PM on the day of reporting at Triumph Velodrome DPS School Bopal Ahmedabad to discuss arrangements made for tournament/ Clarification of Rules/Announcement of program/tournament Schedule. Team Managers are to report to the tournament committee and complete following formalities immediately on teams’ arrival:
i).Confirm the Entry Forms already submitted & pay the balance entry fees.
ii).Submit the RSFI Skaters Annual Registration Form & Photos & Fees
iii).Submit photocopy of proof of Date of Birth Certificate of all Skaters.
iv).Submit 2 passport size photos for affixing in the Participation/Merit Certificate.
v).Collect the Race numbers.
vi).Submit details of team’s return journey date, time & mode of transport
(h).MEDALS/CERTIFICTAES: Will be issued to First, Second & Third position holders & participation certificates to others.
(i).Minimum participation rules for holding the competition:- The events will be held even if in an age group there is only 1 participant in Speed. Ranking will be given on the basis of the following criteria:-
A skater completing the race & clocking the same or better timing than the third position holder’s timing for the same race of 1st Warrior Tournament or at least last two National Championships will be entitled for obtaining a Bronze Medal. Similar rule will apply for Silver & Gold Medals also.
In case of any unforeseen circumstances if the schedule or events are not complete, the decision by the Gujarat State Roller Skating Association will be final in this regard.
